When is ADAS calibration needed?

Just about every make and model of vehicle have different circumstances when a calibration is required. Combined with the different ways each system function, it can be a challenge to identify when an ADAS calibration is required. Below are some of the more common circumstances that will lead to the need for an ADAS calibration.

360 Camera System

The 360 Camera System requires calibrations if (with or without DTC):

  1. If rear parking aid camera is removed
  2. If side parking camera/mirror is removed
  3. If front parking aid camera is removed

The Forward Facing Camera (near Rearview Mirror) requires calibration if (with or without DTC):

  1. If windshield is replaced
  2. If there is a change in tire size
  3. If suspension is repaired or aligned
  4. If front airbag is deployed
  5. If interior mirror is replaced

The Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, or Collision Braking system must be calibrated if:

  1. If RADAR sensor located behind front bumper/grille is removed
